The best view of downtown Valdosta is from the renovated McKey Building, a 1906 historic 4-story building, turned The McKey, a boutique Hotel.

A 4-story building with a coffee shop on the Ground floor, Event Space on the Second, Gladwin Vaughn transformed the top two floors of existing office spaces into a bright and airy boutique hotel.

A rehabilitation project that received State and Federal Tax Credits, care was taken to preserve as many of the original historic elements as possible. The original wood floors were restored, and original panel doors and transoms remain. Window were replaced for energy efficiency. Old photographs retrieved from the local historical society were used to restore the exterior.
